Mastering your message

Our July issue of WordSpin brings you even more to explore…

Dear reader,

I am pleased to bring you the second issue of our new WordSpin. At Eye for Image, we love creating and publishing WordSpin – we’ve been doing it for nearly eight years! But, as we continue to raise the bar with more relevant content, we look to our clients to help set the agenda. We’re working to balance our voice with the needs of our partners and clients to bring you the right things at the right time. And, as always, we appreciate your interest and your input.

In this month’s issue, we look at some of the challenges involved with getting messages to audiences – particularly multicultural audiences. In our cover story, we talk to Eye for Image’s cultural advisor, Angel Vidal, about overcoming cultural obsticals in global business. In our Strategy section, we present the power and the burden of the personal brand and, in Tips and Tricks, we continue with our pointers on multicultural small talk.

Also this month, our most popular features are back with a special punctuation edition of Grammar Slammer and more hilarious international marketing bloopers.

We’ve introduced a new feature for WordSpin, and you can now view the previous issue exactly as we launched it. Our intention with this is to give you a better overall experience and to make it easier to find the articles and columns you want to read. Take a look at the Past Issues page to see what I mean. Of course, you can still browse previous content in the traditional way. And If you’re looking for articles published before the June 2011 relaunch, check out our WordSpin archives.

We do appreciate that our readers are busy people. For those of you who don’t have time to browse our previous content, check out our new regular feature, Best of WordSpin, where our editorial team highlights the cream of the crop from years past to republish here on the new site.

I hope you enjoy this month’s WordSpin – brought to you from a mostly sunny, but sometimes very wet Copenhagen. We’ve certainly enjoyed publishing it, and your feedback is always welcome.

Happy reading!
David Hoskin
Editor of WordSpin
